The USP40 Variant 3 pairs Heckler & Koch’s proven .40 S&W platform with a decocker-only control layout, a feature produced in far smaller numbers than the common V1 safety/decocker model. This 2002 Ulm-proofed pistol retains matching slide and frame serial numbers, a factory cold-hammer-forged polygonal barrel, and HK’s patented recoil-reduction buffer system. A pre-Picatinny universal rail and a period-correct magazine bearing the 1994–2004 LE restriction marking round out a package that appeals to shooters and collectors looking for an authentic early-2000s USP.

The Variant 3 configuration deletes the manual safety and retains a left-side decocker, giving the shooter a streamlined DA/SA manual of arms while staying true to HK’s original control lever design.
A 4.2" cold-hammer-forged barrel with polygonal rifling maximizes service life and contributes to the USP’s reputation for accuracy in the .40 S&W caliber.
The slide is nitro-carburized, matte blued, and fitted with HK’s heavy-duty elastomer O-rings and Viton seals to keep debris out of the action. An external extractor doubles as a loaded-chamber indicator for quick visual confirmation.
