Smith & Wesson .38/32 Terrier Nickel 2" Revolver – Early 1950s

What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson .38/32 Terrier revolver with nickel finish, gold-tone small parts, and stag-style grip panels
Produced circa 1949–1951, this Terrier represents the transitional phase between S&W’s pre-war I-frames and the later J-frame Chiefs Special. The five-screw side-plate and knurled extractor rod are hallmark features of the I-frame.
The factory-pinned 2-inch carbon-steel barrel, combined with the round-butt grip frame, creates a truly compact profile ideal for discreet carry in its day.
Chambered in .38 S&W, the revolver accepts the cartridge used in many British service pistols, offering historical ammunition compatibility while remaining distinct from .38 Special. The DA/SA action retains the smooth trigger pull for which Smith & Wesson is known.
The nickel finish contrasts sharply with custom gold-tone screws, trigger, and hammer, while the stag-style panels add texture and period flair. These tasteful modifications enhance visual appeal without altering the gun’s original mechanical integrity.
