What’s Included
- Inland M1 Carbine (.30 Carbine)
- 1× 15-round GI-pattern steel magazine
Produced in the 5.15 million serial range, this receiver dates to January–August 1944, the period when Inland was the largest contributor to the U.S. carbine program.
The rifle was arsenal-updated after WWII, gaining the milled Type III rear sight with windage drum and elevation slide, along with the Type II barrel band.
Its walnut stock features the desirable “I-cut” sling/oiler slot and a flat, checkered steel butt-plate.
The 17.75-inch parkerized barrel uses a gas tappet housing integral with the barrel, feeding a short-stroke piston and rotating bolt action that keeps overall weight around five pounds—attributes prized by paratroopers, armored crews, and support troops.
As a World War II-dated Inland with post-war enhancements, this carbine illustrates both frontline manufacture and subsequent ordnance modernization, making it a solid addition for collectors seeking a representative, shootable example.
