What's Included
- Remington Model 12C Target .22 LR pump-action rifle
The 12C Target configuration centers on a 24 in octagon carbon steel barrel with a blued finish and matching blued receiver. The rifle breaks down via a single knurled screw, making transport and maintenance straightforward while retaining a solid lockup when assembled.
The action is a hammerless slide-action (pump) design with a fixed two-piece tubular magazine (inner tube moves only for loading/unloading). It is chambered for .22 Short, .22 Long, or .22 Long Rifle, with approximate capacities of 14, 11, and 10 rounds respectively.
Sighting is provided by a patridge-style front blade and a folding leaf rear sight, drift-adjustable for windage. Barrel flats are marked "Remington Trade Mark" and ".22 SHORT, LONG OR LONG RIFLE," with additional "Remington UMC Trade Mark" on the steel crescent buttplate.
The stock set is walnut with an oil finish and a straight, uncheckered grip, paired with a ribbed walnut slide handle. Length of pull measures 13.0 in. Overall length is about 40 in, and weight is approximately 5 lb 13 oz, giving the rifle a balanced, easy-handling feel.
Designed by John D. Pedersen and produced in the United States, the Model 12 line saw approximately 832,000 rifles made from 1909 to 1936. The 12C Target variant combines the octagon barrel, takedown system, and adjustable open sights in a configuration that remains desirable to collectors.
