Universal Model 3000 Enforcer .30 Carbine Semi-Automatic Pistol – Pre-1978 Hialeah Production
This Universal Firearms Model 3000 Enforcer is a factory-built, large-format pistol patterned after the M1 Carbine. Manufactured in Hialeah, Florida before 1978, it carries the desirable “UNIVERSAL / HIALEAH, FLA.” roll mark and the distinct “ENFORCER” receiver heel stamp. Chambered in .30 Carbine with an 11.25-inch barrel, it offers rifle-caliber performance in a compact, semi-automatic package that accepts standard M1 Carbine magazines.

What’s Included
- Universal Model 3000 Enforcer .30 Carbine pistol
- One 15-round M1 Carbine-pattern steel detachable box magazine
The Enforcer pairs a carbon-steel receiver and 11.25-inch barrel with a blued finish, giving the pistol a classic, uniform look. Its short-stroke gas piston and rotating bolt mirror the reliable M1 Carbine action, providing smooth cycling with the .30 Carbine cartridge.
A one-piece walnut pistol-grip stock offers solid control without a shoulder extension, keeping overall length to just 17.75 inches. A perforated steel ventilated handguard aids barrel cooling and maintains the carbine aesthetic in a handgun format.
Factory markings include the U.S. Patent 3,382,786 reference on the barrel-receiver ring, the “UNIVERSAL / HIALEAH, FLA.” address, and the prominent “ENFORCER” model designation on the receiver heel—details that help confirm its early production status before Universal’s 1978 move.
Though compact, the pistol is compatible with standard 15- and 30-round M1 Carbine magazines, expanding its utility for range sessions or collection display. The flip-type rear sight remains intact; the front sight was never installed, typical of some Enforcer variants.
