Dan Wesson Model 15-2H .357 Magnum Revolver, 4-Inch Heavy Shroud – Monson 1975 Production
Produced in Monson, Massachusetts in early 1975, this Dan Wesson Model 15-2H combines the brand’s signature interchangeable barrel system with a factory 4-inch heavy shroud. Built on a small frame of high-luster blued 4140 chrome-moly steel, it offers both double- and single-action fire and chambers six rounds of .357 Magnum or .38 Special. A Hogue Monogrip rubber grip replaces the original stocks, providing a modern, finger-grooved hold on this collectible revolver.

Dan Wesson’s Model 15-2 series is renowned for its interchangeable, tension-nut barrel system. The user can set cylinder-to-barrel gap with the included feeler gauge, then swap barrels in minutes—an advantage that sets the platform apart in both competition and field use.
This 15-2H variant wears the heavier full-length underlug shroud, adding forward weight for reduced muzzle rise. The recessed muzzle nut protects the crown and secures the 4-inch 4140 chrome-moly barrel in proper tension.
A one-piece solid frame without a side-plate increases rigidity, while the forward-push crane latch delivers positive cylinder lock-up. The fluted six-shot cylinder rotates counter-clockwise, and the exposed, serrated hammer spur allows confident thumb-cocking for precise single-action shots.
Adjustable iron sights—an interchangeable ramp front and a square-notch rear—provide a clear sight picture. The high-luster blued finish contrasts with the black Hogue Monogrip, which adds modern recoil control and comfort to this classic 1970s revolver.
