The Forge H1 pairs classic 1911 ergonomics with modern rimfire engineering, giving shooters a full-weight, blowback-operated .22 LR that launched in 2024 as Hammerli’s first sporting/defensive rimfire handgun. Its aluminum alloy frame and slide wear a durable matte black Cerakote finish, while a five-slot Picatinny rail, skeletonized trigger and commander-style hammer add practical, shooter-focused upgrades. Built on a true full-size 1911 platform, the Forge H1 uses an alloy frame and aluminum slide to match centerfire 1911 weight for realistic training. Front and rear slide serrations offer positive manipulations, while the five-inch barrel delivers full sight radius and consistent velocity from standard .22 LR loads.
A single-action-only blowback system provides a crisp 1911-style break through a skeletonized three-hole trigger. Safety is handled by an ambidextrous thumb safety, grip safety and internal firing-pin block, mirroring familiar centerfire controls.
The dust-cover Picatinny rail is machined integral to the frame, giving five slots for lights or lasers without aftermarket parts. Fixed three-dot sights include a drift-adjustable rear notch for easy zeroing.
Proofed in Germany with DE24 markings and imported by Hammerli Arms in Fort Smith, Arkansas, this recent-release rimfire ships with a 10-round magazine and carries an MSRP of $399, making it a straightforward, feature-rich option for training or leisure shooting.
