What’s Included
- Mossberg Model 183D-B .410 bolt-action shotgun
- Screw-on full choke (installed)
Produced from 1950 to 1954, the 183D-B represents Mossberg’s answer to a lightweight, economical .410 repeater. Its bolt-action system is straightforward and reliable, feeding from a top-loading fixed magazine that holds two rounds plus one in the chamber.
The 24" blued steel barrel is threaded at the muzzle and currently wears the full choke sleeve, a feature that lets the shooter adapt pattern density with other Mossberg choke sleeves (not included). The barrel’s 3" chamber broadens ammunition choices, while the brass bead up front provides a simple, time-tested sight picture.
A walnut-finished hardwood stock with plain pistol grip keeps weight down and balances the gun well. The steel butt-plate and 14" length of pull give it a traditional feel that suits a wide range of shooters.
At roughly 5.5 pounds, this shotgun is easy to carry in the field yet sturdy enough for regular use. Its combination of American manufacture, threaded barrel, and tidy bore makes it a practical addition to a hunting lineup or a period-correct piece for a Mossberg collection.
