Sig Sauer P230 SL .380 ACP Stainless West German Compact Pistol with Pachmayr Grip
The stainless-steel P230 SL combines classic West German SIG engineering with the durability of an all-steel frame and slide. This compact .380 ACP pistol was proof-marked in Ulm and imported by the early SIGARMS Exeter office, making it desirable to collectors who value pre-reunification manufacture. A factory-fixed barrel, smooth DA/SA trigger, and an after-market Pachmayr wrap-around grip further set this example apart while preserving its clean, satin stainless finish.

What’s Included
- Sig Sauer P230 SL pistol with Pachmayr wrap-around rubber grip
- 1 x factory 6-round stainless magazine with polymer finger-rest floorplate
Made entirely of stainless steel, the P230 SL adds weight over the standard alloy-framed P230, reducing felt recoil while increasing longevity. The satin finish resists corrosion and maintains the compact pistol’s understated appearance.
The fixed 3.6" barrel is integral to the frame, a design that promotes repeatable lock-up and practical accuracy. The straight blowback DA/SA action features a rounded external hammer, a decocking lever for safe lowering of the hammer, and an automatic firing pin safety.
Low-profile 3-dot sights with orange/red inserts are fixed front and rear, offering a clear sight picture without snagging when holstered. Rear slide serrations provide secure manipulation, and the classic heel-release magazine catch preserves the original European configuration.
German nitro eagle and Ulm antler proof marks, plus the “MADE IN W. GERMANY” slide marking, verify its West German origin. The early SIGARMS Exeter import stamp connects this piece to SIG’s initial U.S. distribution era, adding historical context that collectors appreciate.
An after-market Pachmayr wrap-around grip with finger grooves is installed, supplying a tacky, hand-filling hold that complements the pistol’s compact dimensions without permanent alteration.
