What’s Included
- Remington Model 572 Fieldmaster A pump-action rifle
Introduced in 1955, the Model 572 Fieldmaster carried forward Remington’s slide-action heritage while deleting the external hammer for faster follow-up shots. This pre-1968 production rifle was built before serial numbers were required, adding a layer of period authenticity valued by collectors.
The 22.75-inch steel barrel is inspection-marked “C AD 41” and is finished in a classic polished blue that matches the steel receiver. The receiver top is milled with standard 3/8-inch tip-off grooves, so a rimfire scope can mount without gunsmithing while leaving the factory bead-and-notch irons intact.
Its 15-round tubular magazine feeds .22 Short, Long, and Long Rifle cartridges interchangeably, giving the shooter inexpensive flexibility at the range or in the field. Pump operation is managed by a 17-groove walnut fore-end that offers a positive, non-slip grip even during rapid cycling.
The straight-comb walnut stock measures a 13.5-inch length of pull, is fitted with sling-swivel studs, and ends in the original molded Remington butt-plate. A cross-bolt safety and alloy trigger guard round out a design focused on simple, reliable handling.
