Winchester Model 1912 Field Grade 16 Gauge Pump Shotgun, 26-Inch Nickel Steel Barrel, Full Choke, 1915 Production
Built in 1915, this Winchester Model 1912 Field Grade represents the second production year of the 16-gauge variant and retains the early “Model 1912” roll-mark predating Winchester’s 1919 name change. It features a 26-inch nickel steel barrel fitted with a fixed Full choke and has been converted to accept modern 2 3/4-inch shells. Classic 17-groove corn-cob walnut furniture, a smooth internal-hammer pump action, and Winchester’s pre-WWI craftsmanship make this shotgun a compelling piece for shooters and collectors alike.

What’s Included
- Winchester Model 1912 Field Grade 16 Gauge shotgun
Introduced in 1914, the 16-gauge Model 1912 quickly gained favor for its balance and light recoil. This example, serial number 912XX, dates to 1915, placing it firmly within Winchester’s high-quality pre-WWI production era.
The 26-inch nickel steel barrel is factory-stamped “FULL”, providing tight patterns for upland hunting and clay target disciplines. Its later 2 3/4-inch chambering broadens ammunition options beyond the original 2 9/16-inch load.
Operationally, the internal-hammer pump action cycles smoothly and feeds from a four-round tubular magazine. A single brass bead up front offers a clear, traditional sight picture.
Hand-cut, 17-groove corn-cob slide handle and straight-grained walnut pistol-grip stock remain solid. Length of pull measures 13.5 inches, delivering a classic field fit.
