ČZ Uherský Brod vz. 52 Semi-Automatic Rifle, 7.62×45 mm, 1956 “she” Code, Integral Folding Bayonet
This 1956-dated vz. 52 from ČZ Uherský Brod is a scarce, original-chambering example of Czechoslovakia’s Cold-War service rifle. Built for the unique 7.62×45 mm cartridge, it pairs a short-stroke annular gas piston with steel construction and an integral right-side folding bayonet—features that make it stand out to both shooters and collectors.

What’s Included
- Canvas two-point sling (brown)
- Integral folding blade bayonet (installed)
- Original steel vz. 52 detachable box magazine
Coded “she 56,” this rifle was manufactured during the core 1952–1959 production run at the ČZ Uherský Brod factory. The “she” concealment code and crossed-swords proof on the receiver confirm its Czech military origin.
The vz. 52’s short-stroke piston design keeps reciprocating mass low, contributing to smoother cycling than many contemporaries. Chambered in its original 7.62×45 mm, this example has not been converted to 7.62×39 mm, preserving its collectibility.
A ventilated stamped-steel handguard and hardwood semi-pistol-grip stock give the rifle a distinctive profile. Side sling swivels and a flat steel buttplate reflect its infantry role, while the 13.0" length of pull fits most shooters comfortably.
The tangent rear sight is graduated to 1,000 m, paired with a protected front post for durable, no-nonsense iron sights. When folded, the bayonet sits flush along the right side; extended, it locks securely without the need for separate hardware.
At 9.1 lb and 39.6" overall length (without bayonet extended), the vz. 52 offers a balanced platform that remains manageable at the range while retaining all the character of a mid-century military arm.
