Harrington & Richardson U.S.R.A. Model 195 Variation 3 .22 LR Single-Shot Target Pistol, 7" Barrel
Produced in a limited run of roughly 3,300 pistols between 1928 and 1941, this H&R U.S.R.A. Model 195 Variation 3 stands out for its 7" key-hole barrel, hand-cut left-hand rifling, and high-polish blued finish. Serial number 1712 places it firmly within the early 1930s refinement period when design input from Walter R. Rice and Walter F. Roper helped this model set a national accuracy record with the U.S.
Army Pistol Team in 1932. Collectors value these pistols for their scarce production, competition pedigree, and distinctive engineering details.

What’s Included
- H&R U.S.R.A. Model 195 Variation 3 single-shot pistol
The U.S.R.A. Model 195 was engineered for precision competition, and this example retains the key features that made it famous. The 7" carbon-steel barrel uses a rare key-hole profile and six-groove left-hand rifling, a combination chosen to stabilize standard-velocity .22 LR match ammunition.
Its single-action, break-open mechanism simplifies loading, while the grooved, creep-free target trigger delivers a crisp release favored by match shooters of the era. The external hammer and knurled round top-latch are hallmarks of Variation 3 production.
Adjustable iron sights consist of a pinned Patridge-style front blade and a square-notch rear leaf adjustable for both elevation and windage, allowing fine-tuned zeroing without aftermarket parts.
The one-piece wrap-around walnut target grip features coarse checkering that provides a secure purchase without the need for additional grip tape. Combined with the pistol’s substantial carbon-steel frame, it offers excellent balance for off-hand slow-fire stages.
