Scaled at 85 percent of a full-size M&P, this rimfire variant offers identical grip angle and control placement, making it a natural understudy for service-size centerfire models. The compact size keeps overall weight to just 15 ounces while still providing a 3.6-inch carbon-steel barrel for reliable .22 LR performance.
The aluminum-alloy slide wears a durable matte-black finish and features both rear cocking serrations and Smith & Wesson’s distinctive wave-pattern serrations for quick, positive manipulation. An integral three-slot Picatinny rail on the dust cover supports lights or lasers without adding bulk.
Internally, the pistol uses a single-action blowback design with an internal hammer, delivering a crisper break than striker-fired centerfire M&Ps. The hinged safety-blade trigger adds an additional layer of security, complementing the ambidextrous manual thumb safety and magazine disconnect.
Rimfire shooters will appreciate the fully adjustable rear sight—uncommon on standard M&P models—paired with a drift-adjustable front post. Together, the three-dot sights allow precise zeroing for various loads or distances.
