The R-103 series introduced a radial-slot extractor that speeds empty-case removal, complementing the pull-forward ejector-rod release found only on Sentinel revolvers. This design eliminates the traditional thumb latch and contributes to the model’s streamlined profile.
An aluminum-alloy frame and anodized matte finish keep weight down while resisting corrosion, pairing with a carbon-steel barrel and cylinder for strength where it matters. Only one screw is used in the entire revolver; the remaining components are secured with cross-pins, a hallmark of Sentinel engineering.
The nine-shot cylinder maximizes .22 LR firepower without enlarging the grip or frame. A smooth double-action/single-action trigger, exposed hammer, and hammer-block safety give the shooter versatile control for rapid or deliberate fire.
Fixed sights consist of a serrated ramp front blade and an integral square-notch rear. The one-piece brown Tenite grip with eagle-logo medallion is correct for early R-103 production, adding period authenticity.
