What’s Included
- 1 × 12-round magazine
Designed around the 9x18mm Makarov cartridge, the vz. 82 was the first military sidearm to feature both an ambidextrous magazine release and an ambidextrous thumb safety, making it immediately adaptable for right- or left-handed shooters. This example retains those original controls, giving the user quick, intuitive operation.
The 3.8-inch fixed barrel is chrome-lined with polygonal rifling, delivering solid accuracy and extended service life. Its straight blowback, double-action/single-action system keeps the mechanics simple and reliable while still allowing both trigger modes.
A Meprolight Tru-Dot rear night sight replaces the standard rear notch, pairing with the original white-dot front blade for clear sight acquisition in low light. The slide’s straight vertical serrations and rounded-spur external hammer provide confident manipulation.
Finished in black enamel over its all-steel frame and slide, the pistol shows honest duty wear but remains structurally sound. Century Arms import marks and the “C.A.I. Georgia VT” stamp identify its U.S. entry, while matching serial numbers on the slide, barrel, and frame verify factory assembly.
With its compact size, 12+1 capacity, and C&R-eligible status, this vz. 82 offers both a collectible snapshot of late-Cold-War engineering and a capable shooter for the range.
