Daniel Defense DDM4 PDW .300 AAC Blackout AR Pistol – Geissele Flat Trigger & Dead Air Muzzle Brake
This factory-built, brace-equipped DDM4 PDW delivers Daniel Defense quality in a compact, hard-hitting .300 BLK package. Introduced at SHOT Show 2020 and discontinued in 2024, the PDW pistol saw limited production, giving this example added collector appeal. Upgrades such as a Geissele flat-face single-stage trigger and a Dead Air three-port muzzle brake further enhance its performance and make this piece stand out from standard builds.

The heart of the PDW is a 7-inch chrome-lined, cold-hammer-forged CMV steel barrel with Daniel Defense’s heavy S2W profile and a 1:7 twist, purpose-built to maximize .300 BLK performance. Threads are cut 5/8-24 and topped with a Dead Air three-port muzzle brake that tames recoil and accepts Dead Air suppressor mounts.
A pistol-length, direct-impingement gas system keeps the action smooth and reliable in short-barrel applications. The upper receiver is laser-marked “DDM4 PDW 300,” while the lower carries Daniel Defense roll marks, reinforcing authenticity.
The Maxim Defense CQB brace uses dual guide rods and four length settings, giving the shooter a stable, adjustable platform without adding unnecessary bulk. Pairing with the brace is a 6-inch Daniel Defense MFR XL handguard (6061-T6 aluminum) featuring full-length top rail and M-LOK slots for accessories.
A Geissele flat-face single-stage trigger delivers a crisp, consistent break—an immediate upgrade over a standard mil-spec unit. Combined with the 7075-T6 aluminum receivers, Type III hard-coat anodizing, and overall black finish, the build balances durability, ergonomics, and modern styling.
Because brace-equipped DDM4 PDWs were produced for only a few years, examples with tasteful performance upgrades like this one are increasingly hard to find, making it a desirable choice for both shooters and collectors seeking a compact .300 BLK platform.
