Winchester Model 12 12 Gauge Pump Shotgun – 32" Nickel-Steel Full Choke, 1926 Production
This early Winchester Model 12 stands out with its factory-long 32-inch nickel-steel barrel, fixed FULL choke, and matching serial numbers from a 1926 production run. A later refurbishment added a Simmons-style ventilated rib, a Monte Carlo trap buttstock, and a ventilated recoil pad, giving the gun a purpose-built trap configuration while preserving its pre-war forged receiver heritage.

What’s Included
- Winchester Model 12 12 Gauge pump-action shotgun
The 32-inch nickel-steel barrel is the longest factory offering for the Model 12 and retains its early “Nickel Steel” roll marking, produced before Winchester transitioned to “Proof Steel.” A fixed FULL choke delivers tight patterns favored by trap shooters, and the 2 3/4-inch chamber accepts standard 12 gauge loads.
An aftermarket Simmons-style ventilated steel rib improves sight alignment and heat dissipation during long shooting sessions. Combined with the Monte Carlo comb, rollover cheek-piece, and 14-inch length of pull, the shotgun offers a high sight plane and secure cheek weld suited to clay target disciplines.
The receiver is a pre-war forged steel unit, characteristic of early Model 12 production. Matching serial numbers on the receiver and barrel extension confirm that the major components have remained together since leaving the New Haven factory.
Although refurbished, the gun retains the mechanical reliability that earned the Model 12 its reputation. The pump-action cycles smoothly, the hammerless mechanism locks up solidly, and the five-round tubular magazine provides the traditional 5+1 capacity.
