1977 Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight Field Grade 20 Gauge Pump Shotgun, 28" Vent-Rib Barrel, Factory Game-Scene Engraving
Made in 1977, this Ithaca Model 37 Featherlight Field Grade pairs the line’s famous bottom-eject design with a 28-inch vent-rib Roto-Forged barrel and fixed Modified choke. The gloss-blued steel receiver carries factory waterfowl scene engraving, and the checkered walnut furniture keeps weight balanced and handling familiar. With its ambidextrous bottom loading/ejection and quick-detach takedown collar, this 20 gauge pump remains a practical field gun backed by one of the longest-running pump-action designs still in production.

What’s Included

The Model 37’s bottom-eject system sends spent shells straight down, keeping sidewalls clear and making the gun naturally ambidextrous. This design also seals the action against debris when the gun is carried in the field.
The 28" vent-rib barrel is Roto-Forged from a single piece of steel for concentric strength, and its fixed Modified choke offers a versatile pattern for upland birds or clay targets. A bright orange front bead provides quick sight reference.
Factory engraving on the gloss-blued receiver shows a detailed waterfowl scene, adding visual appeal without affecting the gun’s working-gun pedigree. Serial prefix 371 confirms 1977 manufacture.
Checkered walnut stock and slide handle offer a secure grip, while the hard plastic butt-plate delivers a 14" length of pull suited to most adult shooters. Capacity is 4+1 rounds of 2 ¾" 20 gauge.
The takedown collar allows the barrel to be removed quickly for transport or maintenance, continuing a feature lineage that traces back to Browning’s original Remington Model 17 design.
