Walther P1 9mm Bundeswehr Service Pistol, Late “Fat” Slide, 4.9" Barrel, DA/SA
This West German Walther P1 stands out as a late-production “fat” slide variant accepted into Bundeswehr service in October 1977 and later imported by Interarms. Markings also indicate 1963 mfd, adding historical interest for collectors. Its alloy frame keeps weight to roughly 1.7 lb while retaining the proven P38 locking-block system, making it a lighter sidearm with classic lineage.

The reinforced “fat” slide with a cross-bolt was introduced to extend service life, and this example retains that desirable upgrade.
A slide-mounted safety/decocker and DA/SA trigger system provide straightforward carry and manual of arms, true to the P38 lineage.
The open-top slide promotes reliable ejection, though a heel-type magazine release preserves the original military configuration.
Fixed blade front and notch rear sights deliver a clean sight picture, while vertical rear serrations on the slide ensure positive manipulation even with gloves.
Importer markings from INTERARMS, along with the Bundeswehr acceptance stamp, confirm its authentic military service history and lawful U.S. import status.
