FN Baby Browning .25 ACP Belgian Micro Pistol – 1960 Production
This 1960-dated FN Baby Browning offers the classic vest-pocket design created by Dieudonné Saive, built in Belgium for Browning Arms Company. Measuring just 4.1 inches long and weighing under 10 ounces, it is one of the smallest all-steel semi-autos ever mass-produced. Belgian proof marks, original blued finish, and its low 44,650-unit annual production make this example especially attractive to collectors seeking an authentic early-1960s micro-pistol.

FN manufactured this pistol in Liège during 1960, then shipped it to Browning Arms Company for the North American market. “Star over letter” Belgian proofs confirm its origin, and the BROWNING ARMS COMPANY import stamp reflects its export status.
The Baby Browning operates on a fixed-barrel blowback system. Its single-action, striker-fired mechanism provides a light, consistent trigger pull, while the 2.11-inch barrel maximizes reliability in the tiny platform.
Constructed entirely of blued carbon steel, the pistol features an internal extractor, ten rear slide serrations per side, and anti-glare serrations along the top of the slide. Fixed blade-and-notch sights sit low to reduce snagging.
Safety equipment includes a left-side manual thumb safety and a magazine disconnect safety, both standard on Baby Brownings. The micro size, 6+1 capacity, and rich manufacturing history continue to make these pistols popular among concealed-carry pioneers and modern collectors alike.
