Staccato (STI) 2011 Apeiro .40 S&W – Limited-Run Full-Size Island-Barrel Pistol, 17+1
The Staccato Apeiro is a scarce, custom-shop variant of the 2011 series, built to deliver competition-grade accuracy in a duty-ready package. This discontinued model features a Schuemann AET 5-inch sight-tracker barrel, a tri-top slide with sabertooth serrations, and STI’s Recoil-Master dual-spring guide rod—all combining to keep muzzle flip low and follow-up shots fast. Finished in an eye-catching stainless-and-black two-tone and chambered in .40 S&W, this pistol offers collectors and shooters a blend of rarity, capacity, and precision engineering.

What’s Included
- STI-branded zippered soft pistol case
- 2× 17-round MBX 2011 double-stack magazines with MBX base pads
Built on the double-stack 1911 platform, the Apeiro combines a steel frame with a modular polymer grip featuring dragon-scale stippling for confident control. The skeletonized trigger with an adjustable over-travel stop breaks cleanly, while the ambidextrous thumb safety and grip safety support both right- and left-handed operation.
The Schuemann AET bull barrel includes an integral rib that carries the green fiber-optic front sight, keeping the sight line fixed to the barrel itself for consistent point-of-impact during cycling. Paired with a fully-adjustable serrated rear sight, the setup provides a crisp sight picture suited to competition or precise defensive work.
STI’s Recoil-Master dual-spring guide rod tames recoil and speeds return-to-battery, complementing the island barrel to keep the muzzle flat. The tri-top slide with polished stainless flats and black oxide contrasts not only reduces glare but also adds a distinct visual signature.
This Apeiro was produced in limited numbers and has been out of production since before 2020, enhancing its appeal to collectors seeking a rare 2011 variant that remains ready for the range.
