Colt New Service Mk I .455 Webley Revolver – 1899 British Contract, 5.5" Barrel, Cerakote Refinish
This early Colt New Service Mk I revolver was manufactured in 1899 for the British War Department and chambered for the .455 Webley service cartridge. Bearing a low four-digit serial and the broad arrow acceptance mark, it represents one of fewer than 2,500 first-type New Service revolvers produced for the initial British contract. A recent matte grey Cerakote refinish preserves its carbon-steel frame while keeping the original military configuration intact, including the 5.5-inch barrel, lanyard swivel, and checkered hard-rubber grips.

What’s Included
- Colt New Service Mk I .455 Webley revolver
Produced during the first year of New Service manufacture, this Mk I variant features the flat, checkered cylinder latch unique to the earliest guns. The low serial number places it firmly within the initial run supplied to British forces just before the turn of the 20th century.
The broad arrow stamp on the frame confirms British acceptance, adding clear provenance and historical value. Combined with the scarce .455 Webley chambering, it stands out among later commercial New Service revolvers.
