What’s Included
- 7.62x39 mm SKS stripper clips
The triangle Arsenal code “26” on the receiver confirms production at Jianshe Arsenal, a detail sought after by SKS enthusiasts. Matching serial numbers on the receiver, trigger guard, and magazine floorplate further authenticate this rifle’s originality.
Chambered in 7.62x39, the rifle employs the SKS’s proven short-stroke gas piston system for smooth, semi-automatic operation. The fixed, hinged ten-round magazine feeds reliably via included stripper clips, maintaining the rifle’s historic configuration.
Its 20-inch carbon-steel barrel and blued carbon-steel receiver preserve the traditional look and feel of the Type 56. Iron sights consist of an un-hooded front post and a tangent rear sight graduated from 100 to 1,000 meters, offering the classic SKS sight picture.
The oil-finished hardwood stock features a steel butt-plate with an integrated cleaning-kit trap, while the matching wooden top handguard completes the period-correct furniture. A bayonet lug remains in place, though the bayonet was removed to meet import requirements.
