Remington Model 1100 Field Grade 12 Ga, 28" Vent-Rib, 1967 Production
Produced in 1967 within the first million Model 1100s, this Field Grade semi-automatic showcases the features that made Remington’s gas-operated design a mainstay. It carries the early chrome-plated bolt, original elastomer O-ring gas seal, and factory fleur-de-lis checkering found only on pre-1970 guns. Ornamental scroll engraving on the blued steel receiver, a 28-inch vent-rib barrel with fixed Modified choke, and glossy walnut furniture complete a package that remains both functional and collectible.

What’s Included
- Remington Model 1100 Field Grade 12 Gauge shotgun
The 28-inch steel barrel wears a ventilated rib for fast target acquisition and is threaded at the muzzle for a fixed Modified choke, giving balanced patterns for upland and clay work.
The blued receiver displays factory scroll engraving that sets early Field Grade guns apart. Combined with the chrome-plated bolt, it reflects the attention to detail typical of 1960s Remington production.
Gloss-finished walnut stock and fore-end feature cut fleur-de-lis checkering and white-line spacers, elements unique to pre-1970 Field Grades. A hard rubber buttplate retains the period-correct look while helping maintain the 14-inch length of pull.
Remington’s gas-operated action, sealed by the original elastomer O-ring, softens recoil and cycles reliably with 2 ¾-inch shells. Capacity is 2+1 rounds, keeping the gun light and well-balanced.
