Romanian Cugir TTC Tokarev 7.62×25 mm Pistol | 1953 Production | Very Good Condition
Built in 1953 by Romania’s Cugir factory, this TTC Tokarev combines classic Soviet-inspired engineering with all-steel durability. Chambered in the high-velocity 7.62×25 mm Tokarev cartridge, the pistol retains matching slide serial number DG560 and the original hardwood star-logo grips. An import-installed frame safety allows the gun to meet modern requirements while preserving its 1950s military character.

What’s Included
- 1× 8-round steel Romanian TTC magazine with finger-rest baseplate
This full-size TTC follows the proven short-recoil, single-action Tokarev design, delivering fast-moving rounds and reliable cycling. The carbon-steel slide and frame wear their original blued finish, complemented by vertically cut rear serrations for positive manipulation. An external spur hammer and skeletonized trigger provide a crisp, traditional firing feel.
The import-installed manual safety, paired with a half-cock hammer notch, offers added security without altering the pistol’s original mechanical layout. Fixed front blade and rear notch sights give a familiar sight picture, while the heel-mounted lanyard ring reflects its service heritage.
Romania produced roughly 155,000 TTC pistols between 1952 and 1959; examples from 1953 like this one are sought by collectors for their early-run status and matched-part integrity. The clean bore, sharp rifling, and overall well-kept finish make this Tokarev a solid shooter as well as a notable Cold-War-era piece.
