Product Description

    Tula 1933-Dated Mosin-Nagant 1891/30 7.62x54R Bolt-Action Rifle, Blued Finish, Hardwood Stock

Built at the historic Tula arsenal and receiver-dated 1933, this Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30 offers collectors a World War II–era service rifle with clear, verifiable markings. Chambered in 7.62x54R and still wearing its original red-brown shellac stock, the rifle retains its military character while showing the honest wear expected from a pre-war production gun.

    Condition

Overall Condition: Good condition, showing some signs of prior use and handling.

Bore Condition: Good - Clean, well-maintained, minor wear marks.

Bore Fouling: Mild Fouling - Light buildup of fouling or dirt.

Bore Rifling: Good Rifling - Intact, well-defined lands and grooves.

Specific Condition Notes: The bore exhibits light fouling, yet the grooves remain sharp and clearly defined. The bolt body is non-matching and electropenciled “928,” a common Arsenal refurbishment practice. Bluing is uniform with expected edge wear, and the hardwood stock bears service dings consistent with field use.

    What’s Included

    • Tula Mosin-Nagant Model 1891/30 rifle

Receiver markings feature the Tula star and a 1933 date, confirming pre-war manufacture before the factory’s transition to full wartime output. An importer-added serial “E002251” appears on the receiver’s underside, alongside the ATI Rochester, NY stamp required for import.

The 28.7-inch barrel is crowned and free of pitting, delivering the long sight radius that made the 1891/30 a capable marksman’s rifle. Its tangent rear sight is graduated from 100 to 2000 meters, pairing with a hooded post front sight for precise, repeatable aiming.

A brass handguard cap, typical of early-1930s production, rounds out the hardwood furniture. The stock retains its factory finger grooves and dual sling slots, finished in the characteristic red-brown shellac that gives Tula rifles their distinctive appearance.

The integral five-round magazine, smooth bolt throw, and robust steel receiver illustrate the rifle’s straightforward wartime design. Collectors will appreciate the rifle’s blend of matching arsenal features and documented refurbishment, offering both display value and range potential.
