Molot Vepr 7.62x39 Semi-Automatic Rifle | Russian RPK-Style Receiver, Walnut Stock, Midwest Optic Mount, 16.5" Chrome-Lined Barrel
This Russian-built Molot Vepr pairs the strength of an RPK 1.5 mm stamped receiver with collectible scarcity created by the 2017 import ban. Chambered in 7.62x39 and fitted with walnut thumb-hole furniture, it comes factory-matched and upgraded with a Midwest Industries quick-detach optic mount and a two-port muzzle brake. A cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined barrel and full-length Picatinny rail add practical value to this already rare rifle.

- Three 10-round Magpul PMAG 10 AK MOE polymer magazines
- Midwest Industries AK side-rail quick-detach optic mount (installed)
- Two-port AK-pattern muzzle brake (installed)
Built on Molot’s reinforced RPK platform, this Vepr uses a 1.5 mm stamped steel receiver with a bulged front trunnion, delivering added rigidity over standard AKM receivers.
The 16.5-inch barrel is cold-hammer-forged, chrome-lined, and threaded 14×1 mm LH, providing durability and compatibility with a wide range of 7.62x39 muzzle devices. A two-port brake is already installed.
Furniture is classic walnut: a thumb-hole stock with Monte Carlo comb and ventilated rubber butt-pad, plus an RPK-length handguard displaying stylized Molot logos. Despite slight cosmetic wear near the sling swivel, the wood retains a rich finish.
Optic readiness is a standout feature. A left-side rail hosts the included Midwest Industries quick-detach mount, while the hinged top cover carries a full-length Picatinny rail. Iron sights consist of a protected post front and a windage-adjustable tangent rear—uncommon on most AK-pattern rifles.
U.S. imports of Vepr rifles ceased after OFAC sanctions in 2017, making original Russian examples with matching parts increasingly hard to find. This rifle’s factory-matched components and tasteful upgrades enhance both its utility and its collector appeal.
