What’s Included
- Smith & Wesson Model 1000 12 Gauge shotgun
- 28-inch vent-rib barrel with Modified choke tube installed
Manufactured from 1973 to 1985, the Model 1000 was Smith & Wesson’s answer to the Remington 1100 and Winchester Super X. This example carries the “FC” serial prefix, indicating a late-run 12-gauge unit.
The gas-operated action uses a patented, self-regulating system that vents excess gases, helping to manage recoil and cycle a wide range of 2 ¾-inch loads. A 2+1 magazine meets federal migratory bird limits without modification.
The 28-inch blued steel barrel wears a vent rib topped with a brass front bead for quick target acquisition. A Multi-Choke system lets the shooter swap tubes; the included Modified choke offers a balanced spread for upland birds, small game, and clay targets.
