What’s Included
- Browning SA-22 Grade I Takedown .22 LR rifle
Built in Belgium and marked “MADE IN BELGIUM, ST LOUIS Mo. & MONTREAL P.Q.,” this rifle comes from the desirable pre-saltwood era and carries the “8T” serial prefix that denotes 1968 production.
The SA-22’s takedown design separates the 19.5-inch barrel from the receiver without tools, making the rifle easy to transport or store. Reassembly is quick and returns the point of impact reliably.
Bottom ejection directs spent cases downward, keeping them clear of the shooter and favoring both right- and left-handed use. The simple blowback system feeds from a 10-round tubular magazine located in the buttstock.
Grade I trim includes a polished blued finish, machine-cut scroll engraving with zig-zag border, and straight-grip walnut stocked with crisp checkering and a glossy protective finish.
Sighting is handled by a brass-bead front on a raised ramp and an adjustable folding leaf rear. The receiver is grooved for a rimfire scope mount, adding optics flexibility without altering the rifle’s classic lines.
