Forged internals set this GF3 apart. Palmetto State Armory uses a hammer-forged bolt, carrier, and front trunnion to increase longevity under heavy firing schedules, echoing the durability standards of original military production.
The 16.25 in 4150 CMV steel barrel is nitrided inside and out, pressure-tested to 10,000 rounds, and threaded 14×1 LH to accept standard AK muzzle devices. A 90-degree gas block with bayonet lug keeps the classic profile intact.
Red laminate furniture provides a traditional aesthetic while the steel, ventilated “cheese-grater” upper handguard aids barrel cooling during sustained fire. A fixed stock with a 13 in length of pull and matching laminate pistol grip complete the look.
The stamped steel receiver features six rivets per side for added rigidity and an AK-pattern side rail for optics. Standard hooded post front and tangent rear sights are graduated to 800 m, maintaining familiar AK sighting.
