What’s Included
- Original factory Browning cardboard pistol box with matching serial label
- 1× 10-round factory Browning Buck Mark .22 LR steel magazine
The Plus series debuted in 1988, and this pistol’s “PP” serial prefix confirms its first-year production at Browning’s Utah facility. Early guns like this one feature smooth walnut grip panels with inlaid Browning medallions—an upgrade over later synthetic options.
The 5.5-inch carbon-steel bull barrel is target-crowned to protect the rifling and maintain accuracy. Its fixed design, combined with Browning’s precise machining, delivers tight groups with standard or high-velocity .22 LR loads.
An integral Weaver-style rib is machined into the barrel assembly, giving shooters a ready-to-use platform for red dots or scopes without added weight or alignment issues. Rear serrations on the matte-blue slide provide positive purchase when charging.
Controls remain classic Buck Mark. The heel-type magazine release keeps mags secure, and the manual thumb safety works in concert with an internal firing-pin block and last-shot hold-open for safe, intuitive operation. A polished trigger shoe offers a crisp break that helps maximize the pistol’s inherent accuracy potential.
