Walther MP UZI .22 LR Semi-Automatic Rifle – 18" Shrouded Barrel, Collectible Rimfire UZI Platform
This Walther MP UZI is a licensed rimfire replica of the iconic Israeli UZI SMG, produced in Germany under IWI license and imported by Umarex USA. Discontinued in 2016 and stamped with a 2013 BD date code, it offers collectors a faithful, closed-bolt blowback version chambered for affordable .22 LR. - IWI UZI .22 LR instruction manual
Licensed by IWI and built by Carl Walther, this rimfire UZI maintains the original platform’s manual of arms while operating from a closed-bolt, semi-automatic blowback system. The non-reciprocating, center-mounted charging handle and familiar cross-bolt and grip safeties deliver an authentic handling experience.
An 18" barrel is fully enclosed by a knurled faux suppressor shroud, giving the classic UZI profile while complying with rifle barrel length requirements. The 1:13.75 twist rate is optimized for standard .22 LR loads.
The stamped-steel receiver wears a matte black phosphate finish and carries German nitro eagle proofs, a BD date code, and Umarex USA import markings. Matching serial numbers on the bolt, receiver, and barrel extension add collectible appeal.
Rugged features include a steel under-folding stock with positive lockup, a ribbed polymer handguard, and protected iron sights—drift-adjustable front post and dual-aperture flip rear—mirroring the original SMG layout.
Three factory 20-round magazines, a takedown tool, and the original manual round out a package that is ready for range use or display.
