Triple S Dev Co. Wickliffe 76 Standard Grade .25-06 Rem. Lever-Actuated Falling Block Single-Shot Rifle
The Wickliffe 76 is a low-production American single-shot rifle built by Triple S Development Company in the late 1970s. Serial number 00446 places this example near the start of an estimated 2,500-rifle run, adding collector interest. Its patented strengthened action (U.S. 4,040,196) modernizes the classic Winchester 1885 High Wall concept, while the factory plum-blued finish, jewelled breech block, and scroll-engraved walnut grip-cap mark it as a Standard Grade rifle that balances utility with tasteful detailing.

The action is a lever-actuated falling block engineered for strength and smooth cycling. Jewelling on the breech-block sides demonstrates factory attention to detail and eases inspection of moving surfaces.
A 26-inch steel barrel chambered in .25-06 Remington offers flat-shooting performance, well suited for medium-range varmint or deer applications. The bore remains clean and shows well-defined rifling.
The receiver and barrel wear a polished plum-blue finish typical of late-1970s production, providing a distinctive hue that collectors associate with original Wickliffe rifles.
The walnut stock features a Monte-Carlo comb, cheek-piece, pistol-grip, and a scroll-engraved oval grip-cap. A Bishop rubber butt-plate with a white-line spacer completes the factory Standard Grade furniture and delivers a 13.5-inch length of pull.
Factory-installed Burris scope bases and rings allow easy optic mounting without altering the rifle, preserving originality for collectors while adding immediate utility for shooters.
