Dan Wesson Valor Stainless 1911 .45 ACP Full-Size Semi-Auto Pistol – Match-Grade Barrel, AmeriGlo Tritium Sights
The Dan Wesson Valor Stainless is a full-size, forged-steel 1911 designed for shooters who want duty-ready reliability with custom-level fit and finish. Hand-built in the USA, this reintroduced 2020 variant combines a match-grade, hand-crowned barrel with carry-oriented features such as high-visibility tritium sights and an integral Stan Chen SI magwell. Its matte bead-blasted stainless finish, flat-top slide, and 25 LPI checkering give it a purposeful look and secure feel that stand out in a crowded field.
Condition
Overall Condition: Very good – showing only light, superficial signs of prior handling or use.
Bore Condition: Excellent – clean, mirror finish with sharp lands and grooves.
Minor superficial scratches and blemishes are present on the matte stainless finish; no mechanical issues observed.
What’s Included
- Dan Wesson factory hard pistol case
- Two 8-round stainless steel Dan Wesson magazines
- Bushing wrench
Hand-fitted forged slide and frame give this Valor its tight lock-up and smooth cycling. The slide features an inverted serrated rib, rear cocking serrations, a lowered/flared ejection port, and a flat-top profile that reduces glare.
The 5-inch match-grade stainless barrel and bushing are both hand-crowned to protect the rifling and promote optimal accuracy. Series 70 geometry means no firing-pin safety, preserving a crisp single-action trigger pull.
AmeriGlo tritium front sight with an orange ring pairs with a serrated ledge-style U-notch rear sight for rapid acquisition day or night. A skeletonized flat trigger and commander-style hammer round out the premium fire-control system.
Carry and competition ergonomics come from 25 LPI checkering on the front strap and mainspring housing, diagonal-cut black/gray G10 grips, and the factory-installed Stan Chen SI integral magwell for lightning-fast reloads.
At release, the Valor Stainless carried an MSRP of $2,299 and shipped with two 8-round magazines, a hard case, and a bushing wrench—making this example ready for the range or duty out of the box.
