This Marlin Model 9 Camp Carbine was built in 1988, placing it firmly in the desirable pre-1994 ban era. Chambered in 9mm Luger and equipped with Marlin’s Micro-Groove rifling, it offers a lightweight, soft-shooting platform that shares magazines with Smith & Wesson 59-series pistols. What’s Included
- Marlin Model 9 Camp Carbine (9mm Luger)
- One 12-round factory S&W 59-pattern magazine
Produced for only a short span from 1985 to 1999, the Camp Carbine earned a reputation for reliability and magazine compatibility. This example retains the 16.5-inch Micro-Groove barrel, prized for its ease of cleaning and consistent accuracy with standard 9mm loads.
The simple blowback action keeps maintenance straightforward. Fieldstripping requires only removing two screws, making it an approachable carbine for range or camp use.
Marlin drilled and tapped the receiver on the 336 pattern, so adding an optic is direct and inexpensive. The iron sights remain intact, with a ramped front and elevation-adjustable rear leaf for quick target acquisition.
The hardwood stock wears a walnut stain, factory sling swivel studs, and a rubber butt pad—all original to the gun. Steel components carry a blued finish that pairs well with the wood for a classic look.
