What’s Included
- Ruger Old Army revolver with installed Kirst Konverter .45 Colt conversion cylinder (6-round)
The Kirst Konverter system replaces the original percussion cylinder with a six-shot .45 Colt cylinder and adds a loading gate cut into the conversion ring, allowing conventional fixed-cartridge loading and extraction while preserving the revolver’s classic single-action operation.
Ruger’s investment-cast stainless steel frame, cylinder, and barrel deliver the strength and corrosion resistance that made the Old Army stand out among black-powder designs. The factory bright stainless finish gives the gun a clean, uniform appearance.
A 7.5-inch stainless barrel pairs with a ramped Patridge blade front sight protected by integral ears and a fully adjustable square-notch rear sight, providing a precise sight picture for target work or field use.
Ivory-color synthetic grips bearing Ruger medallions offer a traditional look and secure hold. The external hammer, single-action trigger, and transfer-bar safety system combine classic operation with Ruger’s proven safety mechanism.
With production of the Old Army ending in 2008, cartridge-converted stainless examples from the mid-1990s have become increasingly hard to find, especially in good mechanical condition. This revolver delivers the versatility of .45 Colt alongside Ruger’s renowned durability and distinctive styling.
