Remington Model 700 BDL Deluxe 7mm Rem. Mag. Bolt-Action Rifle, First Year 1962 Production
This early-production Model 700 BDL Deluxe combines Remington’s classic bolt-action design with the then-new 7mm Remington Magnum cartridge. A low five-digit serial number places it within the first 40,000 rifles built, and it retains hallmark 1960s BDL touches such as skip-line checkering, a contrasting fore-end tip, and a white-line spacer recoil pad. The rifle offers a 24-inch barrel, factory open sights, and a receiver factory-drilled and tapped for optics, making it a notable piece for shooters and collectors alike.

What’s Included
- Scope rings
Introduced in 1962, the 7mm Remington Magnum cartridge was paired with the Model 700 to offer flat trajectory and long-range performance. This rifle preserves that original chambering with a 3+1 internal magazine and a 24-inch barrel optimized for magnum velocities.
The BDL Deluxe trim features a high-gloss walnut stock with Monte Carlo comb, right-hand cheek-piece, and crisp fleur-de-lis skip-line checkering for sure handling. A contrasting ebony-style fore-end tip and white-line spacer recoil pad complete the period-correct appearance.
Factory open sights include a hooded ramp front and a step-elevator rear for quick target acquisition. The receiver is drilled and tapped, allowing the owner to add optics without removing the original sights.
A blued steel finish covers the barreled action, complementing the walnut stock. The manual safety is positioned for intuitive operation, and the 13.25-inch length of pull suits most adult shooters.
