Izhmash Saiga IZ-132 7.62x39 Semi-Auto Rifle – Russian AKM-Pattern, Tapco G2 Conversion, Pre-Sanction Import
This Izhmash Saiga IZ-132 is a Russian-made, AKM-pattern rifle chambered in 7.62x39 and imported by EAA before the 2014 sanctions halted Saiga imports. Professionally converted from its original sporter layout, it now features a forward-relocated Tapco G2 trigger group and standard AK pistol-grip ergonomics. A chrome-lined, 16.25-inch threaded barrel, stamped Izhmash receiver, and genuine Russian proof marks make this rifle a standout for shooters and collectors seeking an authentic, customizable Kalashnikov produced on the original Kalashnikov Concern production line.

This Saiga was built at the Izhmash factory in Russia and retains the arrow-in-triangle logo, Russian proof cartouches, and EAA Cocoa, FL import mark. Early EAA-marked rifles like this are no longer imported, adding scarcity and collector interest.
The conversion brings the trigger group forward and installs a Tapco G2 single-hook fire-control group, delivering a smoother pull and the familiar AK pistol-grip geometry. A black polymer grip and fixed polymer buttstock complete the upgrade while keeping weight low and durability high.
The 16.25-inch chrome-lined steel barrel is threaded 14×1 LH, ready for standard AK muzzle devices. Chrome lining resists corrosion and simplifies cleaning, while the long-stroke gas piston system preserves classic Kalashnikov reliability.
Standard AK iron sights include a hoodless front post and adjustable tangent rear sight for dependable target acquisition. The stamped steel receiver wears its original black enamel finish, matching the black polymer fore-end and furniture for a cohesive, utilitarian look.
