Inland M1 Carbine Type III .30 Carbine Semi-Auto Rifle, 1945 – Ventilated Steel Handguard & Accessory Rail
Built during the final months of World War II, this Inland Manufacturing M1 Carbine combines late-war Type III features with thoughtful post-war updates. A perforated steel handguard, riveted accessory rail, and arsenal refurbishment give this collectible carbine both historical value and field-ready practicality. Its forged-steel receiver, 18-inch barrel, and clean bore preserve the qualities that made the M1 Carbine a favorite with U.S. troops, while the low-wood walnut stock retains an original rack stamp for added provenance.

This carbine left Inland’s Dayton, Ohio, line between April and June 1945, bearing serial range 6.95 million and a Parkerized finish typical of late production. A Type III barrel band with bayonet lug and a stamped adjustable aperture rear sight complete the period-correct wartime configuration.
Post-war refurbishment introduced a durable perforated steel ventilated handguard and a low-profile accessory rail riveted beneath the barrel. These upgrades improve barrel cooling and allow the addition of modern attachments without altering the original action.
The walnut low-wood stock still shows its “A A Y” rack/inspection stamp, and the 13-inch length of pull maintains the carbine’s compact handling. A Parkerized forged-steel receiver and barrel, coupled with a short-stroke gas piston system, deliver the reliable performance for which the M1 Carbine platform is known.
Chambered in .30 Carbine, the rifle feeds from detachable box magazines and has a 30+1 capacity with the included extended magazine. The clean, bright bore and strong rifling indicate careful maintenance, ensuring accuracy and longevity for range use or collection display.
