What’s Included
- Browning Auto-5 Light Twelve 12 Gauge shotgun
The Auto-5 is the first successful semi-automatic shotgun, designed by John M. Browning and built on a long-recoil mechanism that uses adjustable bronze friction rings to tailor recoil for different loads. This example retains that proven system, giving smooth cycling with 2 ¾-inch shells.
The steel receiver wears factory scrollwork with the “Light Twelve” script and “BROWNING” banner, adding visual appeal without sacrificing durability. Blued finish remains even, and the gold-colored single trigger provides a subtle touch of contrast.
A 26-inch vent-rib barrel, marked “Made in Japan,” offers a well-balanced swing. The two-star and dash (**-) code designates a fixed Improved Cylinder choke, pairing with a single bead sight for fast target acquisition on birds or clays.
Gloss-finished walnut furniture features cut checkering on the pistol-grip stock and slender forend. Length of pull measures 14.25 inches, and a hard plastic butt-plate caps the stock.
Weighing about 7.7 lb unloaded, this full-size Light Twelve maintains the responsive feel that has kept the Auto-5 in the field for generations.
