HK USP Compact Variant 1 .357 SIG DA/SA Pistol – Rare German “AA” 2000 Production
The USP Compact in .357 SIG is one of the scarcer factory chamberings from Heckler & Koch, and this Variant 1 example was built in 2000 at HK’s Ulm plant, as confirmed by the “AA” date code and German proofmarks. A matching-number slide, barrel, and frame, combined with excellent overall condition, make this compact DA/SA pistol a standout choice for shooters who appreciate collectibility without sacrificing performance.

Overall Condition: Excellent condition, showing only faint signs of any prior use or handling.

Specific Condition Notes: The pistol displays minimal handling marks and retains its matte black Hostile Environment finish across the slide and frame.
What’s Included
- HK factory hard plastic case

- Two 10-round steel USP Compact .357 SIG magazines with flush polymer baseplates
Chambered in .357 SIG, this USP Compact offers high-velocity performance in a controllable, carry-sized package. HK discontinued the caliber in the USP Compact line during the mid-2000s, so factory originals like this are increasingly uncommon.
The cold-hammer-forged barrel uses polygonal rifling for long service life and excellent gas seal, while a captive flat-wire recoil spring helps manage slide velocity and reduces felt recoil.
As a factory Variant 1, the pistol features a left-side safety/decocker lever that supports both cocked-and-locked carry and traditional DA/SA use. The bobbed spur hammer minimizes snag risk without sacrificing manual control.
HK’s fiber-reinforced polymer frame keeps weight down and integrates a proprietary accessory rail along the dust cover. Fixed three-dot sights are dovetailed front and rear, and generous rear slide serrations aid manipulation.
German proofmarks, an HK Inc. Sterling VA import stamp, and matching serial numbers on the slide, barrel, and frame further underscore this pistol’s authenticity and collectibility.
