SIG Sauer GSR Revolution Nitron 1911 .45 ACP Full-Size Semi-Auto Pistol
This early-production SIG Sauer GSR Revolution Nitron represents the first generation of SIG 1911s built in Exeter, New Hampshire. Stainless-steel construction, a matte black Nitron finish, and factory 25 lpi front-strap checkering give it a purposeful look and solid feel. Match-grade components, SIGLITE night sights, and a low serial number in the GS06 xxx range make this full-size .45 ACP both a capable shooter and a noteworthy piece for SIG collectors.

The GSR Revolution was SIG’s first in-house 1911, and this example predates the broader “SIG 1911” branding. Its stainless-steel slide and frame are uniformly treated with SIG’s matte black Nitron finish for corrosion resistance without glare.
A 5-inch match-grade stainless barrel is paired with a skeletonized, match-grade aluminum trigger and commander-style hammer, promoting a crisp single-action break. Factory 25 lpi checkering on the front strap adds purchase, while checkered rosewood grips carry the SIG Sauer medallion.
Low-profile Novak-pattern SIGLITE tritium sights provide a three-dot night-sight picture. Traditional 1911 controls remain, including a grip safety and extended thumb safety. The slide features rear serrations only, and the dust cover retains the classic non-rail profile.
This full-size platform holds 7 + 1 rounds of .45 ACP in its single-stack magazines. Early Exeter manufacture and the GS serial prefix place it in the initial production run of the GSR line, adding context for collectors seeking first-generation examples.
