Ruger KP90 .45 ACP Stainless/Gray DA/SA P-Series Pistol – 4.5" Barrel, 7+1, 1995 Production
The KP90 marks Ruger’s first .45 ACP entry in the rugged P-Series line. Produced in 1995, this full-size pistol pairs a matte stainless slide with a gray anodized aluminum frame for a durable two-tone finish. Factory endurance tests earned the model a reputation for extreme toughness, and this example carries aftermarket wraparound rubber grips that add secure control without altering the pistol’s original mechanics.

Introduced in 1991 and discontinued in 2004, the KP90 is sought after for combining .45 ACP power with the proven P-Series operating system. The “K” prefix denotes the stainless slide variant, and the 661-series serial number places this pistol firmly in mid-1990s production.
The stainless 4.5-inch barrel and slide ride on an aluminum-alloy frame, keeping weight manageable while preserving durability. Rear slide serrations offer solid purchase, and Ruger’s signature slide-stop takedown pin simplifies maintenance.
An ambidextrous safety lever doubles as a decocker, blocking the firing pin when engaged for safe carry. The DA/SA trigger allows a long first-pull followed by crisp single-action shots, while the exposed rounded-spur hammer makes manual decocking straightforward when desired.
Fixed three-dot sights—pinned front blade and dovetailed rear notch—provide a clear, snag-free sight picture. The single-stack magazine holds seven rounds plus one in the chamber, maintaining a comfortable grip width without sacrificing .45 ACP performance.
