Stevens Model 1915 Favorite No. 17 .32 Rimfire Single Shot Rifle – Early Low-Serial Takedown
This Stevens Model 1915 Favorite No. 17 is an early, lightweight boys’ rifle chambered for the scarce .32 Rimfire cartridge. Built in the 1910s and carrying low serial prefix “F 122,” it features the trademark Stevens takedown system, a lever-actuated falling-block action, and a case-colored receiver paired with a blued 24-inch barrel. Collectors value these rifles for their compact size—under 5 lb—and the hard-rubber butt-plate bearing the concentric-ring STEVENS logo.

The heart of the Favorite is its lever-actuated falling-block action. This simple, strong design helped make the series popular with young shooters and remains reliable more than a century later.
A knurled side screw allows quick takedown for compact storage or cleaning—an original factory feature that sets the Model 1915 apart from earlier Stevens rimfires.
The 24-inch steel barrel is finished in blue, while the receiver retains traces of its original case colors. Iron sights consist of a bead front and open rear, as supplied by the factory.
Walnut furniture includes a straight-grip stock and matching fore-end. The hard-rubber butt-plate with concentric-ring STEVENS logo is a classic Favorite hallmark and remains intact.
Chambered in .32 Rimfire, this example represents one of the less common calibers for the Favorite line, adding collector appeal—especially in combination with its early production serial and takedown feature.
