Winchester Model 37 Youth 20 Gauge Single-Shot Shotgun, 26" Barrel, Blued/Walnut
This Winchester Model 37 Youth, produced between 1958 and 1963, offers a collectible variant of Winchester’s rugged single-shot design. Built on the “Steelbilt” blued steel receiver and fitted with walnut furniture, it pairs a compact 12.75" length of pull with a 26" barrel carrying a fixed Improved Cylinder choke. An exposed hammer, automatic ejector, and factory red Winchester recoil pad round out a purpose-built shotgun sized for younger shooters or anyone seeking a lighter, shorter stock.

What’s Included
- Winchester Model 37 Youth 20 Gauge single-shot shotgun
The Youth (often called “Boy’s”) configuration is less common than the standard Model 37, making this shotgun appealing to Winchester collectors. Its absence of a serial number is correct for the model and era, as Winchester did not serialize Model 37s.
The blued steel receiver is roll-marked “Steelbilt,” a Winchester marketing term denoting its forged construction. Despite exterior wear, internal mechanics remain straightforward and serviceable—single-trigger, exposed hammer, and break-open action with automatic ejector for quick hull clearance.
The 26" carbon-steel barrel is threaded to a fixed Improved Cylinder choke, offering a versatile pattern for upland birds and small-game loads through its 2 ¾" chamber. A brass bead up front provides simple sight reference.
Walnut furniture consists of a pistol-grip buttstock capped by the correct red Winchester recoil pad and a semi-beavertail fore-end. The shortened 12.75" length of pull keeps fit manageable for youth shooters or smaller-framed adults.
