Ruger 10/22 Magnum Carbine .22 WMR Semi-Auto Rifle, 18.5" Barrel, 1999 Production
This early-1999 Ruger 10/22 Magnum pairs the classic 10/22 layout with the harder-hitting .22 WMR cartridge. Built during the model’s short 1998–2006 run, it features a steel receiver, heavier magnum bolt, and a blued 18.5-inch carbon-steel barrel. Collectors appreciate its limited production, while shooters value its reliable rotary-magazine system and familiar controls.

The 10/22 Magnum uses a unique, steel-receiver design and a heavier bolt engineered specifically for the .22 WMR’s higher pressures. This variant, catalog number 10/22RBM (Ruger part 02901), retains the familiar cross-bolt safety, push-button magazine release, and barrel band found on the standard 10/22.
The 18.5-inch carbon-steel barrel is non-threaded and finished in deep blue, matching the receiver. A protected post front sight and folding leaf rear sight offer a clear sight picture, while the factory scope mount and integral rails give immediate options for glass.
The birch hardwood stock wears a smooth satin finish, straight comb, barrel band, and installed sling swivels. Its light handling marks align with the rifle’s very good overall condition.
As the only factory .22 WMR semi-auto built on the 10/22 platform, production numbers were limited. This 290-prefix example from 1999 stands out for collectors seeking a clean magnum variant, and it ships with five magazines and its matching factory box.
