The Model 760’s 14-lug rotating bolt locks solidly into a blued-steel receiver, delivering reliable strength for the high-pressure .30-06 cartridge. Its pump action cycles smoothly and allows quick follow-up shots without shifting shooting position.
The rifle retains its desirable early corn-cob grooved walnut forend and matching walnut pistol-grip stock. A rubber recoil pad helps tame .30-06 recoil while maintaining the original 13.5-inch length of pull.
A period Lyman All-American 4X scope in a secure Williams side mount complements the factory iron sights (ramped bead front, folding leaf rear), giving the shooter both optic and back-up sighting options.
