Belgium’s FN SCAR 17S delivers battle-proven 7.62 NATO performance in a lightweight, fully ambidextrous package. A monolithic 17-inch Picatinny top rail, polymer quad-rail fore-end, and side-folding 6-position stock with adjustable cheekpiece round out a rifle designed for modularity and hard use.

The SCAR 17S is powered by a short-stroke gas piston system that runs clean and reliably with the full-pressure 7.62×51 NATO round. Its user-changeable barrel system and threaded muzzle (factory brake installed) make caliber or suppressor work straightforward.
A glass-fiber-reinforced lower and hard-anodized aluminum upper keep weight down while maintaining durability. All major controls—mag release, safety selector, and charging handle—are ambidextrous, allowing fast manipulation from either shoulder.
The side-folding, six-position telescoping stock adjusts for length of pull and cheek height, letting shooters tailor the fit for armor, optics height, or different shooting positions. When folded, overall length is reduced for transport or vehicle operations.
Flip-up front and rear iron sights ride on a continuous 17-inch top rail that offers ample space for day optics, night-vision devices, or magnifiers. Additional 1913 rails on the fore-end accept lights, lasers, and other mission-specific accessories.
Built as the civilian semiautomatic counterpart to SOCOM’s Mk 17, this Belgian-made rifle retains the lineage and rugged features that won its place with special operations forces.
