This P18-9 is built on a stainless steel frame and slide finished in a tasteful matte-and-polished two-tone scheme. Rear cocking serrations offer solid purchase for slide manipulation, while the serrated front strap and checkered polymer grips provide secure handling during rapid strings of fire.
The 5-inch, ramped match barrel is cut from stainless steel for durability and easy maintenance. Para’s Power Extractor (PXT) system, visible on the slide, improves case engagement and reliability, especially during high-round-count sessions.
Target-focused sights consist of a red fiber-optic front post paired with a fully adjustable square-notch rear, allowing precise elevation and windage tuning without aftermarket parts. The skeletonized commander-style hammer and three-hole trigger contribute to a crisp, single-action pull.
With an 18+1 capacity, this double-stack 1911 offers nearly double the round count of traditional single-stack models while retaining familiar 1911 controls, including a manual thumb safety and grip safety. Its late-production status before Para USA’s discontinuation in 2015 adds collectibility to a pistol already designed for practical competition use.
